My Journey to Building a Million Dollar Company by 19
I’m 20 years old, I skipped the whole college thing, and…
I built a company that generates over $1M per year, and you can too.
Here is my story.
Where it began
My journey started in grade 6.
I built an app that would notify parents when their kid reached school safely.
High School Hustles
Among other projects, I created a school marketplace.
I saw my peers trying to sell shoes, clothes, and other items… but using Snapchat & Instagram.
I wanted to create a more curated and organized experience
First Taste of the Startup World
My first taste in the startup world was another marketplace concept.
This tool allowed you to rent out and list available spaces for others to use.
Soon enough, this idea became common practice.
Unfortunately, not everything went according to plan.
Startup Struggles
In an attempt to accelerate this idea, I built a no-code MVP using Bubble.
With my idea carried out, I tried to raise money….. but failed.
Investors were concerned that I was still in high-school and were worried about my focus.
Creme is Born
In early 2020, I met my co-founder.
We both saw a huge opportunity in the no-code space.
Current products were slow & ugly, further bolstering the stigma around no-code.
We wanted to change that.
Company Growth
We got our 1st client, then our 2nd, then our 3rd, and the rest is history.
It was a lot of learning on the fly.. but sometimes thats the best way to learn.
Year #1: $200k
Year #2: $1M
Year #3: Pacing for $3M
Company Now
We’ve worked with a ton of cool startups & enormous enterprises.
Built an amazing team that we’re super proud of.
Formed countless relationships and connections.
Takeaway
I’m not an experienced coder, nor do I have a fancy degree.
I took a risk and capitalized on current opportunities.
Success is not linear, it comes in all shapes and sizes.
Embrace risk, take action on your idea, and do what you enjoy.
